Skagit County starts rural fire safety burn ban

The agency will reopen on the Tuesdays following Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Wood burning allowed again in the Whatcom County community, but NWCAA urges limited burning to reduce smoke.
The ban applies to outdoor and indoor burning. It is expected to last for the next few days until weather conditions change.
