Ambient air quality explains the condition of the outdoor air at monitors strategically placed in communities throughout our jurisdiction. We continuously monitor four air pollutants and provide you with monthly reports. These air pollutants are particulate matter, carbon monoxide, ozone and sulfur dioxide.
One of the ways we keep track of how businesses are affecting local air quality is by requiring some businesses to monitor pollutants at their fence lines. These businesses continuously monitor for sulfur dioxide. We provide you with monthly reports.
